Niswa is committed to serving underserved Muslims and other minority communities by providing culturally and linguistically competent counseling, case management, referral, crisis intervention, domestic violence shelter, and preventative health education. Niswa serves clients nationwide.
Niswa, which means “Women in gathering” in Arabic, was established in 1990 by a group of South Asian women to provide resources and support for the increased needs of Muslim families, especially women, in Southern California.
